Calling all girls and boys ages 10-17! Come have fun as you learn the following: meet and greet guidelines, proper introductions and grammar usage, conversation starters, dining etiquette and appropriate dress. End the workshop with a three- course luncheon (menu can be adjusted to special dietary needs) to hone your new skills. Come dressed in your best, and get ready to learn what it means to sparkle from the inside out! A fun lesson of etiquette and manners, instructed by Diana Holscher, where young girls learn more than just their please’s and thank you’s. Girls will enjoy an hour long lesson about personal manners, social courtesies, place setting & table manners, and more! Once the lesson is over, girls will get to use what they’ve learned with a fun tea party with cake and cookies. Only 15 spots available!

74. Christmas Wreath Making Workshop
Make your own Christmas wreath this year! Once you know how easy and fun it is to make your own wreath, you’ll never buy one from a store again! This parent and child workshop will teach guests how to create their own 22” Christmas Wreath using fresh greens from Everts Flowers. The final touch will be creating your own hand-made decorative bow. The workshop will be a 1-hour class, with instruction provided by Amy Jones, a Saint Cecilia parent and part-time crafty person. Parents and children will work together to complete one fresh wreath while enjoying warm hot chocolate, cookies, and festive holiday music. The workshop is open to kids 8 years and older, and must be accompanied by an adult.

Welcome the morning on Wallaby’s rooftop with an intimate yoga class instructed by Emily Hampton, owner of Ignite Yoga Studio in Ames. Fifteen guests will benefit from 45 minutes of yoga instruction followed by a continental breakfast, including a Bloody Mary, Mimosa and juice bar. Namaste: the light in me sees the light in you. Melissa Bowker, former pastry chef at The Café and Saint Cecilia Lunch Lady extraordinaire, is offering this amazing opportunity for your child. Melissa will provide all the supplies, inspiration, and guidance for your child to create edible works of art.
76. 1st – 5th Grade Cupcake Decorating
Space limited to 12 students, 1 adult must attend per family. Your child will take home 6 fully decorated cupcakes. Kids will work on basic piping skills, as well as how to create some of their own custom decorations with buttercream and fondant.

Space is limited to 12 per class. Learn how to fill, frost, and decorate your own custom-created 6” cake using buttercream and fondant. Your child will work on basic piping skills. Then, Melissa will demonstrate how to utilize fondant to cover and decorate a cake, as well as how to make some of their own custom decorations with buttercream and fondant.
